Transfer a site to another user
You can transfer ownership of a site to another GeoBubbles user β useful when an agency hands a project back to a client, or when ownership moves between team members.
Who can initiate a transfer
Site transfers are not self-service. They can only be performed by the GeoBubbles support team. To start a transfer, send a request to support with the site, the current owner and the receiving GeoBubbles account.
How to request a transfer
- Send a request to the support team including:
- The site (domain) to transfer.
- The current owner's account email.
- The receiving user's GeoBubbles account email.
- Whether the previous owner should keep shared access or be fully disconnected.
- Support will execute the transfer and notify both parties once it's done.
What is preserved
The transfer is non-destructive β all historical data moves with the site:
- All prompts, cities and competitors.
- All measurement cycles, LLM responses and SERP snapshots.
- All reports, including scheduled report configurations.
- Google Search Console connection and other integrations attached to the site.
Shared access
Team members who had access to the site keep their access after transfer. The new owner can review and revoke team access from the site's Team settings. The previous owner can optionally be kept as a shared user (read/write) or fully disconnected β specify this in the support request.
Billing implications
- The site now counts toward the new owner's plan quota (sites, prompts, cities).
- The previous owner's quota frees up immediately.
Cancelling or reversing a transfer
Reversals are also handled by the support team β send a follow-up request and they will move the site back.
Tips
- Make sure the receiving user has an active GeoBubbles account before requesting the transfer.
- Coordinate the timing with the new owner so they're ready to take over scheduled cycles and reports.
