Prompt deletion
Deleting a prompt does not erase it immediately. GeoBubbles uses a two-stage lifecycle so you never lose data by accident.
Soft delete (Archive)
When you delete a prompt β from the actions menu or the toolbar delete button β it is soft-deleted. The prompt is removed from your active list and stops being measured, but it is not gone.
Soft-deleted prompts are moved to the Prompt Archive (Settings β Sites β [your site] β Prompt archive), where they are preserved with all their historical data intact.
What happens to archived prompts
- Not measured β archived prompts are excluded from all LLM data updates and measurement cycles.
- Not counted toward quota β archived prompts free up their quota slot immediately, so you can add new prompts without upgrading.
- Not included in reports β archived prompts are excluded from dashboards, KPIs, and all reports.
- Historical data preserved β all past LLM responses, metrics, and citations are kept and can be viewed if the prompt is restored.
Restore
You can restore an archived prompt at any time from the Prompt Archive. Restoring re-activates the prompt for measurement on the next cycle and it counts toward your quota again. All historical data remains attached.
Permanent deletion
If you want to remove an archived prompt permanently, you can delete it from the Prompt Archive in the app. Permanent deletion removes the prompt and its historical data β this action cannot be undone.
Only permanently deleted prompts are truly gone. Soft-deleted (archived) prompts remain retrievable until you explicitly remove them from the archive.
