When to bypass PromptDNA and supported formats.

    Upload keywords manually

Most users rely on the PromptDNA wizard to generate a high-quality prompt set automatically. Manual upload is a power-user option for when you already have a curated keyword or prompt list you want to bring in directly.

    When to use manual upload

    • You're migrating from another tool and already have a vetted keyword list.
    • You have an internal list of strategic prompts from customer research, sales calls, or support tickets.
    • You want to add a few specific prompts to an existing PromptDNA-generated set without re-running the wizard.
    • Available on all paid plans.

    How to upload

Open Settings β†’ Sites β†’ [your site] β†’ Prompts β†’ Add prompts manually 🟑 [verify: exact menu path in the current UI].

    Supported input:

    • One prompt per line in the textarea, or
    • Comma-separated prompts in the textarea (the app offers to split them automatically). 🟑 [verify: whether file upload (CSV/TXT) is supported in addition to paste-into-textarea].

    Multi-city behaviour

Manual prompts follow the same cartesian-product rule as PromptDNA-generated prompts: if your site has N target cities defined, each manual prompt template is expanded into N (prompt Γ— city) entries. See Multi-city prompts.

    Deduplication

Manual prompts are deduplicated against your active prompt list. If you upload a prompt that already exists for the same city, it is skipped (not duplicated). Soft-deleted prompts do not block re-adding the same prompt text.

    Quota

Every manually uploaded prompt counts toward your plan's prompt quota the same way PromptDNA-generated prompts do. The app will block the upload if it would push you over quota and prompt you to upgrade or free up space.

    After upload

    Manual prompts:

    • Are added in an approved state and queued automatically for the next measurement cycle β€” no separate approval step needed.
    • Are quality-classified after they accumulate 15 LLM responses (see Prompt quality classification).
    • Can be edited, soft-deleted and restored exactly like PromptDNA-generated prompts.
