Notification preferences
GeoBubbles sends two kinds of notifications: in-app alerts (the bell icon in the top bar) and transactional emails.
In-app notifications
The bell icon shows a badge with the number of unread items. Click it to see the list. Notifications cover:
- Measurement cycles — when a scheduled or manual cycle finishes (success or failure).
- Onboarding milestones — first site created, first prompt generated, first cycle completed.
- Visibility gaps — when the daily gap-detection job finds new competitor-only opportunities.
- Team activity — invites accepted, role changes, sites shared with you.
- Quota warnings — when you approach your plan's prompt or measurement limit.
- System alerts — failed integrations (GSC token expired, GBP disconnected), watchdog interventions.
Click a notification to jump to the relevant page. Unread items are marked with a dot; opening the panel marks them as read.
Email notifications
We send transactional emails for events you cannot afford to miss:

All emails are sent from no-reply@geobubbles.com. Add this address to your safe-sender list to make sure they reach your inbox.
Managing email frequency
Email volume is intentionally minimal — we do not send marketing emails to the account address. There are currently three controls:
- Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every non-critical email opts you out of recurring summaries.
- Per-report recipients — automated reports (Settings → Reporting) have their own recipient list, independent of the account email.
- Team digests — read-only team members can be excluded from cycle alerts by the workspace owner.
Security-critical emails (password reset, payment failures, billing receipts) cannot be unsubscribed from while the account is active.
Browser & push notifications
GeoBubbles does not currently send browser push notifications. The bell icon polls in the background while the app is open.
