Insights dashboard
The Insights page is the strategic overview of how your brand performs across AI search engines and traditional SEO. It complements the Cockpit (which is operational, prompt-by-prompt) with a higher-level read of trends and competitive position.
Open it from the left sidebar β Insights.
What's on the page
1. KPI row
A horizontal row of cards summarising the single most recent measurement date for the selected site:
- AIS (AI Search Score) β weighted composite of Visibility Score, Share of Voice, and Top Mention Rate (40 / 35 / 25).
- Visibility Score (VS) β share of all prompts where your brand appears at least once.
- Share of Voice (SOV) β your brand's share of all brand mentions across all prompts.
- Top Mention Rate (TMR) β how often your brand is mentioned first or near-first when it appears.
- Cited Sources β number of unique domains the LLMs cited this cycle, with your brand's share.
Each card shows the absolute value plus a delta vs the previous cycle (green up, red down). The previous-cycle comparison uses the closest earlier metric_date available, which can be 1, 7, or 14 days back depending on cadence.
2. Positioning quadrant
A scatter chart that plots your brand and competitors on two axes:
- X axis: Share of Voice (market presence).
- Y axis: Top Mention Rate (quality of presence).
The chart is split into four quadrants by dashed lines at the cohort median:
| Quadrant | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Top-right | Leaders β high SOV and high TMR. |
| Top-left | Premium niche β strong positioning when mentioned, but limited reach. |
| Bottom-right | Volume players β many mentions, but rarely first. |
| Bottom-left | Laggards β both low. |
Your brand is highlighted; competitors are plotted with their brand colour.
3. Trend chart
A multi-line time-series showing AIS, VS, SOV, and TMR over the selected date range (default 30 days). You can toggle individual lines on/off via the legend.
4. City table
Per-city breakdown of the same KPIs, sorted by AIS. Useful for spotting cities where you over- or under-index versus your national average.
5. AI Insights panel
An automated 8-category gap analysis that summarises what changed since the previous cycle in plain English (prompt quality, new competitors, lost positions, citation movement, etc.).
Filters
The page header has three controls:
- Site selector β switch between your sites.
- Date range β 7 / 14 / 30 / 90 days, or a custom window.
- Segment β apply any saved segment (intent, stage, tag, city) to narrow the scope.
All charts and KPIs respond live to filter changes.

Common questions
- "My AIS went down but VS went up β why?" AIS weights TMR and SOV, so losing first-position mentions can drag the composite down even if total appearances grew.
- "Quadrant medians moved without me changing anything." The medians recompute from the current cohort on every cycle. Adding or removing competitors shifts them.
