Build report documents from snippets, export them to PDF, and generate them on a schedule via Scheduled Tasks.

    Reports & automations

The Reports module is where your saved report documents live. A report is a stack of snippets β€” markdown notes, KPI blocks, tables, and charts β€” that you compose into a shareable document and export as PDF.

Important: GeoBubbles does not currently send recurring email reports to a list of recipients. There is no "weekly / bi-weekly / monthly" email cadence setting anywhere in the app. Reports are documents you build, view, and export β€” not emails that go out on a schedule. Email delivery for reports is on the roadmap (timing TBD).

    How reports are created

There are two ways a report ends up in the Reports page:

    1. Manually β€” you build the report yourself by adding snippets from across the app (for example, "Add to report" buttons on dashboards and tables push a metric, chart, or table into the report you choose).
    2. From a Scheduled Task β€” when you create an automation in Scheduled Tasks, each run produces a fresh report document with the snippets the automation is configured to emit. These appear in Reports marked with a Bot indicator so you can tell them apart from manual reports.

Both kinds of report live in the same list and behave the same once created.

    What's inside a report

    Snippets you can add:

    • Markdown β€” free-form notes, commentary, or client-facing summaries (editable inline).
    • Metrics β€” KPI blocks (AIS, VS, SOV, TMR, etc.) with values and labels.
    • Tables β€” any tabular data captured from the app.
    • Charts β€” visualisations rendered from the underlying data.
    • Prompt fan-outs β€” generated sub-queries linked to a prompt, useful for documenting prompt research.

Snippets can be reordered (up / down), have their titles renamed, edited, or deleted individually.

    Exporting

Each report has an Export PDF action. It opens a print-ready window with your title, the report's snippets rendered as HTML, and the browser's native print-to-PDF dialog. There is no server-side rendering or email step β€” the PDF stays on your machine until you share it.

    Scheduled Tasks (automations)

If you want a report to refresh automatically, create a Scheduled Task. The task defines:

    • The data sources / prompts / sites it should pull from.
    • The snippets it should generate.
    • The cadence at which it runs.

Each successful run creates (or updates) a report in the Reports list. You then open or export it manually β€” the system does not email it out.

    Notes

    • Reports are workspace-scoped and respect the same team permissions as the rest of the app (read-only teammates can view and export but not edit).
    • Deleting a report removes its snippets but does not affect the underlying data (prompts, runs, metrics) it was built from.
    • If you need stakeholders to see a report, export it to PDF and share the file, or invite them to the workspace as read-only team members.
